In the heart of our school district's logo lies a powerful symbol - "The Torch."
Throughout history, the torch has represented knowledge, inspiration, and responsibility. It symbolizes the passing of wisdom from one generation to the next.
Lighting the torch means that we initiate change, share knowledge, and inspire others to carry the flame forward.
Carrying the torch means upholding the values, traditions, and responsibilities entrusted to us.
On behalf of all of those who work tirelessly to educate the students within Effingham Unit 40 Schools, this will serve as our commitment to light the torch of knowledge, to carry it with pride, and to pass it on to future generations.
